On OCTOBER 15 in C-Mine, Barenzaal, GENK the SHIFT-X project held its final conference

where we managed to gather together the experts on the cultural and industrial heritage. It was pleasure to see the spark getting on again in the debate and come back home with the roadmap of actions retouched again.

EUROPEAN STRATEGY FOR PROMOTION OF INDUSTRIAL HERITAGE:

JOIN US AS A SUPPORTING INSTITUTION

We also have adopted and shown to the public the SHIFT-X 'European Strategy for Promotion of Industrial Heritage' that we have sought support from institutions that care for the culture and industrial heritage. Here we would like to thank all the supporters that have reacted immediately to our humble request. The list of supporters is not closed - we will be updating it regularly online. That is why, if any insitution would still like to support us - please visit our 'support button' for getting the Strategy insight (PL, CZ, DE, EN versions) and the Declaration of Support here http://www.shiftx.eu/component/content/article/2-uncategorised/256-patrons-of-european-strategy1.

SHIFT-X partners are lobbying for the letters of support as to the European Strategy for Promotion of Industrial Heritage as the supporting stakeholders, underline the eagerness to cooperate amongst industry promoters and with the national and European administrative bodies on the subject of industrial heritage. Thus, the Strategy at hand acts as a policy paper as well as a memorandum of understanding for intensified cooperation.

During the conference we have also launched another final result in the SHIFT-X works, namely 'The Compendium on effective industrial heritage management structures and options for their interregional transfer' prepared by dr. D. Walther and dr. H. Albrecht, the Technical University Bergakademie Freiberg, it is ready for your perusal here.

While conferencing, we have introduced briefly also our next result which is the 'Transnational Manual on Innovative Heritage-based Products' prepared by J. Harfst and W. Fischer, the Karl-Franzens University of Graz and which will be available on our web soon.
